Timestamped feedback for musicians, pinned to the waveform
Every note lands on the waveform at the second it is about, attached to the version it was written for - so "the verse feels off" becomes "1:47, the triplets are rushed" and the band can actually act on it.
BandVolt supports both overall song comments and feedback pinned to the exact second in a track, so every note has the right level of context. Filter the conversation to timestamped or general comments, show only feedback for the active mix, and hide resolved threads once they are actioned - nothing gets buried in a group chat.
How it works
Add an overall comment when the note applies to the whole song, or pin it to a precise playback timestamp when it belongs to a particular moment. Timestamped comments appear as markers on the waveform, and each comment is scoped to a specific mix version so feedback on v1 stays separate from feedback on v2.
Reply threads keep the conversation readable. @mentions notify band members (and song collaborators). Likes give a quick acknowledgement without adding noise.
What you can do
Switch between timestamped and general comments, show only feedback attached to the active mix, and hide resolved threads to keep the current work in focus. You can also reply in threads, vote with likes, mark comments resolved once actioned, and navigate from notifications straight to the relevant song activity.
On Premium, invite an external musician or mix engineer to a song or a whole album/EP without giving them the whole band workspace - one collection invite covers every track, including tracks added later, and they can leave timestamped feedback where it belongs.
Why it matters
Group chat is great for logistics and terrible for mix notes. "The bit before the last chorus" pins nothing. Timestamped, mix-scoped comments turn feedback into something the producer can act on without archaeology.
